Caxton,
I wasn't discussing the big moves Q could make? I was looking for some answers as to why didn't Nokia go to the Q for help with their W-Cdma? I also asked for comment on some recently issued CDMA patents. I also wanted to know if anyone thought the Q might seek a GSM license from IDC.

However small the pie is it's better to have some than none. Several of the old time Q members have told me they have taken a position in IDC so let the cards fall where they may. How can you say IDC is a no never mind when they have submissions for all standards the ITU has approved. Did you know that a non manufacturing company is supposed to get a higher % royalty on 3-G submissions than a company who manufactures? That might be another reason the Q is dumping the handset division?

I'm not attacking the Q but just asking for some opinions on legitimate questions.
