<Like Pat said - until you see someone sell a significant percentage of their holdings - like 20% - I certainly wouldn't worry.>
So if Cioffi sold, say, 30% of his holdings, one should worry?
From message #14564, we find that:
On March to April of 1996, Cioffi sold 100,000 shares (a 10,000 and a 90,000 piece) leaving him, reportedly with 894,920. Simple math reveals that his holdings prior to this sale were 994,920 (approx the 1M shares often referenced on SI).
Between Nov and Dec of 96, Cioffi sold another 100,000 shares (in 12,500 and 87,500 share pieces).
On March to April of 1997, Cioffi sold 100,000 shares (a 50,000 and two 25,000 pieces).
So, 300,000(sold)/994,920 = 30.2%
Should we worry yet?
Addendum:
<You also might consider that some of these stakeholders may be trying to diversify their assets into other investments to obtain a more reasonable risk load.>
Should Amati stockholders take this as a risk cue to also diversify?
