I don't think Del's reply was snot-nosed or pompous at all. I do think your post was illogical. Are you aware that old growth forest are NOT renewable resources? Do you have a world view where greed is your king, where creating jobs and otherwise benefiting humanity is preferable to saving old-growth forests as sanctuaries for animal life and for the humans who visit them and are re-energized by them? Is nothing sacred to you? Do you care whether your children and grandchildren have a viable environment and are able to enjoy the natural wonders of the world? The adjectives pompous and snot-nosed do come to mind, but certainly not for the environmentalists who are struggling to assure that your gene pool survives our mismanagement of the earth's resources . . .
