So things is lookin' up in da nabahood, huh? DSL. Man, dat's s'posed to be some hot stuff. Out here in USWorst, er, Qworst territory they are touting Megabit DSL at 256K. You think I'm kidding? Nope, not me, never told a joke in my entire life.
So I just got of the phone with my brother-in-law in San Diego, he's in one a them there new swanky subdivisions and he has access to both Roadrunner and PacBell DSL. Either cost $50/mo. The former, if my experience is any indication, runs at about 1Mbps, fully duplex. The latter runs asymmetric. 128 up, 384 down. He's thinking the thing to do is get the free DUN offered by a coupla vendors, cause he don't want the chilblains to get too good at seeing whatall is really out there. Chatted about Netnanny and he thought it was too easy for his 7 year old to defeat. Man, it is getting tough to raise kids.
So, anahoo. The real genius and my hero @Home is Milo Medin. Gosh, he must be frustrated working for Jerkmoluk and BellCurve. He has a clue. A big one. And all he can do is watch these two pretty boys prance. What a waste of talent.
Reminds me of the New Red Green Show. The line is: "If you don't find a guy handsome, you should at least find him handy...."
