Thanks, Dan for the very kind words about me and Michael. I sorta feel like I died but get to attend my own funeral!
Thanks on behalf of Michael and myself, but also on behalf of Eric Hunsader, who was the true rock upon which this Internet feed was built. Michael and I and the team at Quote.com decorated the rock a bit and threw a party around it, but it was, truly, the revolutionary server technology Eric invented and brought to life that made this all possible. He set the standard by which other internet feeds will be judged.
Current performance is not exactly optimal, but that's neither the fault of the servers nor Eric's architecture - we are simply having trouble keeping up with the fact that people like the service and are signing up faster than we recently have been able to build out server and reliable bandwidth capacity.
Anyway, I ain't quite dead yet, and if you think you've heard the last from me, you'd be dead wrong. I've been a customer's advocate and champion within Quote.com for nearly two years. Now I've been promoted to customer. The fellows taking on my various responsibilities, and the server development team are indeed a competent, talented and energetic crew and I am confident they will be able to take these products and services to the next level of success. Francis Gagnon, for example is an options trader himself. He built out the soon-to-be introduced Butterfly Corner options web site and will be the new QCharts and QFeed product manager.
It's been my pleasure to serve you all, and look forward to joining your ranks as a trader.

Everyone gets everything he wants. I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one. Brought it up to me like room service. It was a real choice mission, and when it was over, I never wanted another. [Captain Willard in "Apocalypse Now!"] |
