Mike,
For many months I have had some concern that this thread was narrowing down gorilla definitions so that only monopolies would be considered. Perhaps Qualcomm spoiled everybody. It certainly set a standard that may be impossible to meet in the future. When you think about it, MSFT, Intel, and Cisco have all had serious competitors. They became gorillas because of their response to threats. Even today MSFT is faced with serious potential competition from Linux and BE.

Perhaps there are companies out there that should be discussed here but have been excluded because of such narrow definitions.

I just don't know who!!!
