I'm unclear about what your position is on the AIDS drugs, Blue. You sort of threw me off when you described it as a "heart-warming story you'll get a lot of laughs about". I don't exactly see what is funny about millions of people dying because of the greed of American drug companies, which after all are making plenty of money anyway. This planet did not begin with private ownership of land or resources. In many cultures, wealth was shared. The fact that in the industrialized nations we do it this way does not necessarily make complicity in the deaths of millions of people who do not have the resources we have a moral or correct or even reasonable position, in my opinion. Are you saying that the government of the world's only superpower has no responsibility at all to try to assist in less privileged areas of the planet, to ease human suffering? One of the continuing problems that I have with libertarianism is that there seems to be no humanity involved in it at all. And yet most people have big hearts. So it doesn't seem to be a natural way of looking at things.
