Paul, I disagree with your terms.

In the end, all buyers are consumers of products, be they GM or Paul Fiondella. But from a marketing POV, "consumer" level products mean retail, i.e. sales to individuals. This does not include small businesses that purchase equipment for their employees. DM is a product destined for Citibank and large corporations who have potential losses stemming from security breaches. If Novell links with AOL, the product is still being sold to AOL, who in turn will sell it to their customers, read retail.

Therefore, I maintain that NOVL does not have a consumer product (s) and must continue to focus its marketing on the enterprise.
