O.K., as far as it goes. However, one of the interesting things about the acclaim that James I received as he traveled toward his coronation was that he was male as well as being younger with a thriving family. One can also make the case that one of the reasons that Elizabeth did not marry was to preserve her sovereignty, having watched the problems her sister Mary had faced while trying to please Philip and produce an heir.
