Hardly. You and John enjoy provoking people to see them lash back at you. I do not understand your behavior. I understand being vituperative when one is attacked but why one would create an environment dedicated to vituperation is puzzling to me. Nudging someone intellectually is quite a different thing and not something you and John do. Perhaps the word assaulting...

As for the Greeks they thought conceptually and percptually, if you are familiar with much of their work how can you argue otherwise? The plays that are left to us show great perception as to the nature of man. Their science shows great attention to the details of the natural world. And of course they were in a canyon compared to us, no disparagement to the Greeks intended. We have looked back upon the Earth from space.

As for animals, other than man, I believe there is great debate at the moment as to just how some of them think. Review the literature. I think you will find research indicating the possibillity that some of our animal friends may think conceptually.
