Captain,

I have no argument with anything that you say. However, nothing in your post is relevant to whether MSFT has an monopoly and whether MSFT used that power to the harm of consumers. Rockefeller could (and did) just as easily claim that Standard Oil's monopoly over the production and sale of kerosene resulted in savings to consumers (the price of kerosene had declined dramatically). However, such arguments are not relevant to the issues in MSFT's anti-trust case. What is relevant is that MSFT has monopoly power and has exercised that power to keep IBM, Intel, Netscape and others from competing with MSFT.
