Oh, goodness, female circumcision, one of my very favorite topics!! Did you know that 130 million women in the world today have been subjected to this torture, and that 2 million girls a year may undergo the horror of being sliced up like this?

It looks like the WTO talks ended in utter failure. The third world nations seem to be furious because cheap labor is their most plentiful natural resource, and they want to exploit it. The European nations have six million family farms and would like to preserve this resource since they believe that family farming ensures a stable, family-oriented traditional aspect of society. America wants to destroy subsidized family farming. And since everyone is at odds anyway, I have a proposition! How about right back up with trade barriers, protecting American jobs. How about refusing to trade with countries where there are no laws against female circumcision, or countries like Sudan where those laws are not enforced? How about no trade with countries where children are employed? After all, it is not really free trade anyway! Why is free trade necessarily better?

But James, to digress, I am somewhat disappointed. I had planned to lure your sweet cantankerous head between my vice-grip thighs, not attack you by force. Do you always carry a razor blade?
