Still channeling slowly downward. Been a month since it moved above the 50 DayEMA. I still think of it as a Buy when it hits $12.
TSCM's saving grace is the staff of writers. WSJ.com and Marketwatch are close, but are like faceless robots spitting out rehash of the daily news.
TSCM's portfolio contest is fine for the daytraders, but not for the casual reader. Need a better prize to offset the time spent trying to win. Rather see a contest for longs like Worth Magazine. That way, put picks out once and watch who did better three months later. SI could do this too. TSCM's weekly contests are better.
Not sure if the shares by the investment group and ex-mgr have been sold. Need to find this out before I buy.
Another slam by Barrons yesterday, but they have selfish motive. No TSCM means disposal TSCM $$$ go somewhere else. Only fault with this thinking is that many TSCM readers probably also subscribe to Barrons or have access to it. TSCM has many of its columnists (Gary B. Smith) answering questions for subscribers. Unheard of by elite Barron's. They would probably charge $2.95 a question. This showcases the survivability of TSCM. Loyalty of readers. Wish I knew the renewal rate, but I'm betting 75% or higher. I'm more likely to cancel Barron's vs. TSCM.
Still not in TSCM as stockholder, but time will come.
