Of course, at some time in the future these products will become commodities. For the moment, unlike DRAM, there are many proprietary features that product companies like SNDK from bigger companies. Note the issue between SNDK and Samsung a couple of years ago, where Samsung attempted to produce flash memories without paying SNDK royalties and ended up with an order banning exports of their products to the U.S. Just look at the new patents being issued in this area (many of them to SNDK or Harari) and you'll see that there are probably a good many years of uniqueness left in this area.
