My statement might sound stupid when posted alone, but it's not stupid when taken in context of the entire discussion.

Wexler said "Homeopathy is a pseudoscientific fraud...period"

This statement claims that anything and everything that is homeopathic is a fraud, and my response is not stupid when taken in this context. Vitamins are considered homeopathic by the FDA and they aren't a fraud. Zinc has been proven to be an effective inhibitor of the rhinovirus both in-vitro and in previously published clinical studies conducted by Quigley. Zinc is homeopathic according to the FDA, and if it helps reduce the duration and severity of the common cold, then it isn't a fraud simply because it is homeopathic.

I agree that some homeopathic remedies are quackery and frauds. I have previously acknowledged this and said that I would not have an investment in Gum Tech if Zicam fell into this category. This would apply to remedies discussed in the link that Wexler uses to justify that everything homeopathic is a fraud. otpt.ups.edu I have asked multiple times what this article has to do with Zicam and he never answers. It's no wonder; the article doesn't discuss vitamins and minerals and it doesn't discuss the relationship of zinc to the rhinovirus. In other words, he has taken something completely out of context and used it to justify his claim that Zicam is a fraud. As I have said, if you folks want to have an honest discussion about the pros and cons of Gum Tech, then bring it on. This particular topic is germane to Wexler's dishonesty. Anybody with half a brain can see that Wexler is the fraud.
