Neo, damn me if I didn't see a replay of 19 and 92. 60 Minutes did a faulking soft sell on...Algore. Leslie Stall was pitching the "hardball" questions, like Harry Carey's widow tossing a 95 mph fastball at the Cubs opener. Get Tipper and the kids and mention the "tour of combat". Rail against tobacco again. Had the facia, verneer of a tough interview but it was all promotion. "And here's the barn where I kept my horse I used on the farm". They didn't show all of it but it was so decrepit that I wouldn't feed broketail stray cats there. They skirted his poverty upbringing. Never mentioned that besides his daddy being a US Senator and owning a large and profitable tobacco plantation his mama was a federal judge. Jist clod kickin' poor dirt farmers.
