You have stated two things in your last post that change the complexion of this discussion from one being that of a debate, to one being that of near agreement.
You have stated that the nodes 'will' be split (okay, even if you stipulated only if it truly works, which it does), and that 3 to 4 players would not break the system.
These two conditions are, and always have been, consistent with the caveats which I've maintained would be required in order for open access to work, all along.
My other question concerning ATHM's and the MSOs collective reticence to allow streaming content and work-at-home file transferring at this time, you did not answer yet, however. Except to state that a lot of work needs to be done in the upstream. Kindly answer that question for me. Keeping in mind that the newcomers (whether it's Mindspring or AOL, or whomever) may not be as tolerant to the needs of the video component in agreeing to such tradeoffs.
