Well, after reading the last 20 posts or so, I think I'll wade back in with a couple of comments.
I'm a little concerned that this thread does not have a tolerance for any posts that could somehow be construed as negative against JDX. I see it in the chastising posts to Fuddle, written by several people now. Some of these posts are written with at least an attempt at humour or civility. Other posts are bordering on rude. At the very least, Fuddle is brave enough to state his beliefs and is being open with them.
This kind of chastising leads others to be silent. No one likes to be put down. The longs strengthen their resolve, but only through silencing those with alternative opinions. In the process of doing this, they loose sight of a healthy back and forth discussion of pros and cons. This is not the sign of a healthy thread.
Personally, I want to hear what other people think...good, bad and ugly. I want to weigh all well formed opinions, and make my own best one at the time. If I disagree with someone it forces me to re-evaluate my reasons as to why I disagree, and then either re-evaluate or re-double my previously held convictions. If a thread does not invite, in fact promote this kind of discussion though, I get nervous in a hurry.
Ultimately, all good stocks will move forward despite what any of us here have to say, pro or con. In the mean time though, a healthy and accepting inquiry into all reasoned thoughts and actions no matter what stance they take can only lead to a much more enriching and balanced discussion for the benefit of us all.
Now, back to lurker mode.
