I'm too tired and worn out at this point to get into it, but they wont want their own wire, per se, but they will want their own channel-derived service interface, be it logical or physical. But I do like your idea of the cable frequency auctions, Jay. Don't say it too loud, or else you may find it appearing on Ebay.

Incidentally, all of the kludge issues you just mentioned surrounding the head end and redundant provisions? These are precisely among the same things that I've been saying here for the past year.
