Thanks for the Prodigy BB info. I will go take a look. No I don't have the Quotrek any more -- I sit with my trusty Toshiba laptop watching real time and NASDAQ Level II. I have a 21 inch monitor on the way to help my old eyes.

Once you watch level II you realize that there is a lot that level I doesn't tell you. Level II helps you get in on the beginning of a move -- you see action there that will result in an increase in the bid and ask in a very few minutes. I do have a pager that gives me alerts based upon criteria I set - like volume change over the last 15 minute period or whatever. It really buzzes me when a stock is just starting to move one way or the other. Since someone reading this will probably ask how much are one of those things - Good alpha pager 100 to 150, paging service and realtime updates is about $60 a month (that is for nationwide pager that I have -- local would be 15 to 20 less I think. I only watch one stock with the pager, otherwise I'd have a constant vibrator on my belt.
