Barron's had a few words from Michael Dell this weekend.

1. He think 2000 is going to be a very good year
2. Spending by major corporations will increase dramatically in 2000 as companies scramble to integrate the internet into almost every aspect of theri operations and are ready to get their checkbooks out.
3. He states that most of the component supply problems with Intel are behind it now. "The Intel situation was pretty bad in the third quarter, [but] it is getting a lot better,"

Mutual fund manager stated:
After sitting down for a one-on-one with Dell, Janus' Scott Schoelzel said: "I'm very comfortable with Dell. He genuinely confirmed that Intel's yields are getting better by the day," said Schoelzel, whose $28.8 billion Janus Twenty Fund holds about 20 million shares of the Austin, Texas, computer maker.
