Fred, I've asked myself why SI or any of the other message board sites would discourage multiple message viewing, which with the exception of the New SI "generous allowance" of 10 message viewing, they all do. Clearly the clients (us) want it. While you may have another answer, it seem to me that this can only be to set us up for more advertising through banner ads or diverting links. Banner ads can be changed with each post reading (e.g. on RB)...not so when you can read 100 messages at a time. While I will grant that SI has been slow to bite back on its promise of no ads (which of course went out the window with GNET's purchase), the change seems inevitable. Like everyone else here, I am definitely not looking forward to losing BM & being stuck what is to come. Let's hope that something unanticipated causes a delay.
