Dexter, this is a method to permit you to have a tax free exchange if it is to your advantage. Monsanto has stated that it will later on use its ability to compel a merger of the remainder minority holders. If you have a gain, (realize you have loss), you might then weigh the risk/rewards of waiting to become a holder of Monsanto. If you have a loss at $8 if I were you I would take it now and free up the cash. Even not being you this is what I have done.<g> Don't ask me where I saw the bit about the merger of the rest. Prospectus probably says it somewhere. I saw it on earlier release and it is standard practice to cut cost of reporting for minority holders when co owns over 95% of stock.
