Latest on the Java standards story

Good update on the latest going on over SUNW's continuing efforts to retain proprietary control of Java against the tide of standardization at zdnet.com as well as its internal reorgs this is engendering at zdnet.com

What is particularly interesting in light of the DoJ/MSFT spat is that this article raises antitrust questions for the first time: But Java's growing popularity has led some partners to question whether Sun's heavy-handedness is a potential antitrust violation--a twist of irony, considering Sun badgered Microsoft developers for years for supporting a proprietary operating system.
