Unisys Signs Five-Year Contract Extension with Kellogg Company for Information Technology Outsourcing
Kellogg to Further Cost Savings and Expand New Technology Through Unisys Services
BLUE BELL, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1999-- Unisys Corporation today announced that Kellogg Company, a leading producer of cereal and convenience foods, has extended its original outsourcing agreement with Unisys for an additional five years.
The extension will allow Kellogg to capitalize on continued cost savings through IT outsourcing and additional cost reductions through implementation of state-of-the-art technologies.
Through its world-class Outsourcing Service Center in Eagan, MN, Unisys will host the hardware and software, as well as supply maintenance and support, for a portion of Kellogg's transaction processing computing environment. As a key part of the contract, Unisys also will transition Kellogg systems to new Unisys e-@ction ClearPath Enterprise Server technology in the early part of 2000.

Unisys will perform a number of detailed outsourcing services, which include the following: change management, production control and scheduling, performance management, data security, off-site data storage, help desk and technical support, and hardware design and evaluation. |
