Those are some rather tame reviews Scot, the
ones posted on usenet from people who paid
for the game and were waiting patiently for
it's release are bleak.

The big question is why would management
direct the developers to remove some of
the features and add others to make it
like an arcade/console game? If PC people
wanted to play V8 or V8 2, they would buy a
console and play it.

There's a world of difference between a
console user and a PC user as far as games go.
The Midways,Acclaim's,THQ's, would give body
parts to be succesful in developing,marketing,
and selling a PC franchise. ATVI had/has one
with the Interstate series.

X-Men is shooting now, perhaps the games will
be released with the movie. The question would be
on what platform?

TRST data looks good,the Quake 3 and UT posts
are lacking the usual flaming. It looks like the
consenus is to buy them both. Each offers something
that makes it unique from the other.
