Veramark Expands in Europe; Sees Continued Growth in Billing Market

Business Editors

PITTSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 6, 1999--Veramark
Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:VERA) today announced the opening of a
sales and support office in the Cambridge, England high technology
region. Martin Baines has been hired as Director of Sales, Billing and
Customer Care for Europe, the Middle East and Africa to head the new
office. Mr. Baines was previously the Account and Partner Management
Director for Sema Group Telecom, the global systems integration firm,
where he managed sales of billing and customer care products
worldwide. Mr. Baines has also held sales and business development
management positions with Compaq Computer, Silicon Graphics, and Sun
Microsystems. Mr. Baines is a graduate of Cambridge University and
holds an MA degree in Computer Science.

David G. Mazzella, Veramark President and CEO, commented, "We are
very fortunate to attract someone with Martin's ability and experience
to head up our VeraBill efforts in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The VeraBill system has been extremely well received in the EMEA
region. We currently have 13 VeraBill installations in Europe and five
in Africa. We believe the region offers great growth opportunities as
deregulation, the expansion of wireless service and infrastructure
improvements continue. A sales and support office in the region will
enable Veramark to better serve current and future customers."

Mazzella continued, "Europe is also the home of many of the
world's leading telecom equipment manufacturers and system
integrators. Veramark currently has relationships with several of
these companies. With the help of Martin Baines and the team he will
build in Europe, we expect to broaden and add to those relationships.
In addition, Mr. Baines' experience with Compaq, Sun Microsystems, and
Silicon Graphics will help boost our IP network billing activities
with new customers and our existing business partners."
