Bumbat keeps armed guards on site for security. They use a contract security company which typically uses retired or vacationing police or military officers. A cook is also on site for support. Access to Bumbat is tough in the winter. Without the heavy equipment operating, the roads drift in pretty fast. Stuff could go missing if there was no security, but the scrap business in Mongolia is similar to the scrap business in the arctic...if it can't be used, it can't be sold. Dave
