What about WAFL, SNAPSHOT, Soft Failover clustering, ONTAP op sys?

There are methods patented in all of these software pieces. WAFL itself is the real key to NTAP's fast, simple, reliable architecture.

I believe you are seriously underestimating NTAP's IPR.
