victor,

I believe that I too fall in that category called non-trader.

As far as your opinion of CPQ re: Rosen, AV, etc. I must disagree with those opinions.

EP & EM put CPQ in mucho trouble over their last 2 yrs at CPQ ... Rosen, as an astute and respected person, couldn't or wouldn't knee-jerk react to what I believe he did see happening to CPQ ... even through EP/EM's lies.

But what he has done with MC, AV, restructuring, reassuring, etc. SAVED CPQ from a fate worse than 18-ish .... 10-ish, at best, could very well have been in the offing.

Rosen's decisions and actions may not have been perfect but they were/are: (1) well thought out, (2) damn good, and (3) beginning to bear some beatiful fruit.

I would be surprised if you don't agree that CPQ is now on the UPturn (though not completely there yet) in getting its respect back, its stock price more solidified, its products better focused, its mgmnt team better coordinated .... generally (and I believe better) positioned/leveraged for future successes.

victor, nothings perfect but CPQ (and us shareholders) are attacking the beginning of the new millenium with a revitalized zest and excellent chance of success.

Michael
