Three things worry me:

One, I don't trust management to do right by the shareholders, no
matter how successful. The announced buyback last year
that never was irks me. And Cowpland has been less than trustworthy
for quite a while now.

Two, Cowpland's comment about being dead in the water if Java
doesn't take off. Paired with MSFT's blistering Office 97 sales
and the spread of FrontPage and NT, it appears that Corel can't compete with MSFT mindshare unless it has the Java edge. Even the optimists understand Java isn't going to rescue Corel anytime soon in
terms of revenue. If Cowpland doesn't think the company's going
to make it without Java in the next year, my assumptions were wrong about the company's business.

Three, stock is sinking to a new low, through all support technically.

Good luck,
Mike
