L.L. Knickerbocker converts to Chapter 11 LAKE FOREST, Calif., Dec 6 (Reuters) - L.L. Knickerbocker Co. Inc. (OTC BB:KNIC.OB - news) said Monday it had converted an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition filed against it to a voluntary reorganization proceeding under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The Chapter 7 petition was filed by three of its Asian creditors on Aug. 23. L.L. Knickerbocker intends to file a reorganization plan, which must be approved by creditors and the court for the company to emerge from Chapter 11. The company said the plan comes after three months of negotiations with representatives of the creditors. L.L. Knickerbocker sells collectibles and toy-related merchandise. The company also makes fashion jewelry and accessories. It holds a substantial equity interest in privately-held Pure Energy Corp and in publicly-held Ontro Inc (NasdaqSC:ONTR - news).
