See this post: Message 12187032 and this link to Dr. Fischer's papers, where the word "mirror" occurs 20 times. tiger.technion.ac.il Seems like MRVC has their finger dead center on another "hot" future area! Amazing how they keep doing that. Just a quick note on my limited understanding of this area. Traditional routers route data "packets" using electrical devices and ASICs or Software. This refers to wavelength routing or switching, which is not using data packets, but switching whole wavelengths of OC-48 or OC-192 OPTICALLY (no electronic devices involved). Traditional routers and switches using packets will still be needed (more than ever actually) of course.
