Btw, my disbelief in shorting is so much that I haven't even bothered to find out what exactly it is! Can you please answer this question -- supposing I short a stock, what is it that forces me to cover? Is there something like a margin call that comes from the broker? Or is it just that I get scared and cover it? Can I wait indefinitely without having to do anything, at least in theory? Or while I wait, do I have to pay some interest?
