Dear Everybody,

The following is from Charles Wyatt's Minesite minesite.com

Regards,

Crudestope.

HORNBY BAY COULD BECOME KEY TO A NEW DIAMOND RUSH IN NUNAVUT TERRITORY.

Hornby Bay Exploration is currently in discussions with three diamond companies concerning evaluation and exploration of the diamond potential of its extensive
land position in western Nunavut up by Great Bear Lake. This is worthy of note as the company is officially exploring for uranium and base metals across this proterozoic basin in the North West Territories which is one of only three in Canada. It is also worth noting that "Diamond Jim" Brady is the president of Hornby Bay as it looks as if diamonds find him even when he is not looking for them.

No prizes for guessing who the three companies are. One pointer is that De Beers is in confidential discussions with another small exploration company, Darnley Bay Resources which has ground to the north west of Hornby Bay. At the last count there was a five man De Beers team in the main hotel in Nunavut, and this is not a place you would choose for a holiday at this time of year.

Meanwhile, a month ago, Ashton found a kimberlits pipe only 30 kms from its border with Hornby Bay's land to the south east and has apparently admitted that it often made incursions over the border in the course of exploration in recent years. And the third point to note is that Dr Chris Jennings of Southern Era has been reported to be in the area and he is certainly a man with a nose for diamonds.

Once Hornby Bay had been alerted to the potential "elephant hunt" Diamond Jim wasted no time in flying a bit of aeromagnetic and geophysical over the area and was delighted to find around thirty potential kimberlite targets at the first pass. It is some time since there has been a good, old fashioned diamond rush anywhere in the world. The investors who make the money are usually those who are first in and first out. You read it in Minews, remember.
