I certainly am not arguing against the long term potential of technology. Heck, I have been almost 100% in technology until recently. The issue is one of valuation.

No argument here. But...this has been the issue for the past couple of years! Remember the days when HWP and Intel were near short term tops when p/e's got into the upper teens?

Just because WE now seem to be getting dizzy at these levels probably does not a signal of a top.

My 'vett got rear ended by a Suburban Assault Vehicle Saturday... At the body shop today the manager used a PC to make the estimates. They had 4 PCs in the office all with flat pannel displays to save space. No looking into GM books for old part numbers, calling GM to get updates on prices etc...The modem connected and a few minutes later we had a print-out. 20 minutes work to do an estimate. Then he drops a flash pack into his digital camera and takes some photos of the damage. 25 yrs ago when I was in high school I would never have guessed that auto shops would be so heavily into computers. LRCX, AMAT and Intel all had a part in helping this guy give me an estimate. It just amazes me....

Perhaps the market is telling us not to be amazed?
