Someone over on RB came up with this notion that chip manufacturers would pay $8000 per ton for silica. Chips are sliced from pure silicon ingots. Now keeping in mind that silica is SiO2 and silicon is Si, Silicon ingots might cost $8000 per ton. Did you ever have any experience with silicon manufacturing? If not, maybe Zeev might know.
