I'm no expert on the weather; in fact, I don't study it at all.

But I believe that trends are more likely to continue than they are to reverse. We had a warm winter two years ago, and everyone said it would be followed by a cold one last year. Of course, we had another warm winter. People say we won't have three in a row. It's been warm so far. So, in response to your question, I think the odds are pretty good that December will be warmer than usual, as will Jan., Feb., etc. I don't know if it will set any records, but 70 degrees here in December was inconceivable, until yesterday.
