The flawed algorithm appears in digital GSM phones made by companies such as Motorola, Ericsson, and Siemens, and used by well over 100 million customers in Europe and the United States. Recent estimates say there are over 230 million users worldwide who account for 65 percent of the digital wireless market. I wonder if this can be fixed with software or it's embedded in the silicon? :-0 I don't think I would want to do wireless banking or stock trades over one of these. I might check the weather forecast though. I guess all politicians, philanderers, corporate executives, drug-dealers, stock traders, princesses, organized criminals, movie stars and kids playing hooky would all want CDMA phones. Wouldn't want someone to pull a "Newt." Bux
