"Their run rate is the annualization of their sales. In the most recent quarter, Newsys had sales of $5m so their run rate is 4 x $5 or $20M."

At today's closing of $1.60 the market was valuating the company at $18m (no. of shares times share price) / $20m (run rate), or 0.9 of their run rate.

As we can see in the SHFN interview, there seems to be several items that could result in raising Newsys' profile substantially, hence much greater investor interest recently.
