RE: "Internet Anywhere" my pick is ADAP with PROX and MCOM as secondary picks. All three continued with nice momentum today. Might be due to current craze in "wireless anything" and strong money flow into this sector.

I am a little late in reporting my findings but would like to offer for our thread's consideration of 50% gain from here. My focus has been on small cap (less than $1 bil, or thereabout). I started a small position on ADAP this morning.

All three have their niches. I selected ADAP because I like their technology to support Wireless Broadband Solution for Last Mile.

The "stay-on anywhere you go with internet" is the theme that caught the attention of many, including me. Nothing wrong with that. If Nokia is projecting one billion subscriber by year 2002, the potential for wireless stuff is going to be huge. We can invest in big cap companies like NOK or ATT, WCOM, MOT, VOD, FON, etc., or go find a comparatively undiscovered but promising small company and be ahead of the curve.

Found this fascinating to read in today's release from the Strategis Group:
strategisgroup.com

"Revenues in the Wireless Broadband Market Will Soar 418 Percent in Next Five Years ......."

ADAP has a very nice chart that and if we break 44, it will be out of control. It came earlier than I speculated. I am not chartist, but just read a bit here and there and picked up some thoughts.

They got rid of some old mature businesses and used the cash to fund development of the new technology they bought couple years ago and even changed their name to the Adaptive Broadband (the acquired company's name) early this year. That shows that the management is forward thinking, and will be focused on what they want to achieve. I am bullish, at least for now that they will succeed. It would be a terrible bet if we just looked at their recent performance record only. We need to focus on their continuing business going forward.

This announcement of their recent contract win really strike me. It tells me they have a stream of future business to come.

"This is why we have now achieved in excess of $160 million in contracts and a sales funnel that is a multiple of this amount. While many competitors are announcing plans to participate in this market, none can deliver a product that matches our price performance. I am optimistic that our steady stream of contracts will both continue and increase," stated Frederick D. Lawrence, chairman and chief executive officer.

Do you DD before you invest. Have fun.
