Sorry, I have absolutely no clue about AMX/Phast. Home automation, are you referring to the high tech home of the future? I am not sure if people are ready for it yet. If my mom could decide, she would rather have a farm in her back yard for growing vegetables. Bill gates does vision a home like that. In fact, his custom-built house might be one like that. If someone is going to take the initiative for high tech homes, the large electronics makers in Japan and Europe would be the ones. (last night, Silicon Valley Business, a local TV program, was talking about this. I believe he mentioned Sony, Philips, and Microsoft as the players.)
