I was disappointed when I couldn't remember more. Re: Buchanan When the thuggish Bill Bennett says Pat "flirts with fascism", but then doesn't explain how he does that, it is nothing more than calumny. They dangle words out there but never supply sources. The neoconservatives and those who believe in American global hegemony are frightened of a resurgence of populist sentiment in this country. It probably isn't personal, but they will do whatever it takes to nip a populist uprising in the bud. They recognize that Pat energizes people and is therefore dangerous, so they must take him out, even if it means destroying him. In their mind it is war, and all is fair in war.
