Quintus Announces Strategic Alliance With Lipstream; Alliance Will Augment

FREMONT, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1999--Quintus
Corporation (Nasdaq:QNTS), a provider of contact center solutions for
e-customer relationship management (eCRM), today announced a strategic
alliance with Lipstream, a leader in live voice communication over the
Internet. Under the terms of the agreement, Quintus plans to integrate
Lipstream's live Internet voice service with Quintus WebCenter(TM), a
comprehensive, integrated set of software for delivering Web-based
sales and service.

Quintus WebCenter is part of the Quintus eContact(TM) Suite, a

demonstrate how Lipstream's personalized, live voice service can
augment the functionality of Quintus WebCenter during CTI EXPO in Las
Vegas on December 8 and December 9. The demonstration will simulate a
customer browsing on a Quintus WebCenter-enabled Web site. When the
customer clicks on a "Let's talk" button, he will be connected
immediately with an agent via Lipstream's service and will be able to
conduct a live conversation with the agent using the microphone and
speakers on his computer. Demonstrations will be held during show
hours at the Quintus exhibit (booth 131).
