Company Taps Former AboveNet Sales and Marketing Executive to Lead Product Launch and Commercialization

e-assist.net, Inc., a full-service provider of Internet-based customer care management services, today announced the appointment of David Dembitz to the position of senior vice president of sales and marketing. Dembitz brings nearly 25 years of experience in sales, management and marketing within the Internet infrastructure, networking and high tech industries.

Dembitz will manage the expansion of the company's sales and marketing functions for launching the company's electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) solutions and services designed for e-commerce companies. In addition, he will be responsible for growing the sales operations, building the corporate brand, increasing revenue streams and establishing leading market share as demonstrated in his career track record.

Prior to joining e-assist.net, Dembitz was the senior vice president of sales and marketing for AboveNet Communications, Inc., now a wholly owned subsidiary of Metromedia Fiber Network (Nasdaq: MFNX). At AboveNet, he was instrumental in building the sales and marketing organization, growing the company's revenues and taking the company public on NASDAQ prior to its recent merger. Dembitz contributed to AboveNet's rapid revenue growth, averaging more than 180% per quarter over six consecutive quarters. In addition, under his leadership, the sales and marketing team secured high profile accounts such as Netscape, Double Click, HOTMAIL, CNET, WEBMD, iBeam, and eBay.

Prior to AboveNet, Dembitz was the senior manager for SynOptics Communications, which was acquired by Bay Networks. At SynOptics, he developed the company's Major Account Program and created its Worldwide Channel Program. He began his career with Burroughs/Unisys Corporation, holding various sales and management positions including branch sales manager and director of major accounts for the Pacific Asia Division.
