V1,

<<Zev will not compete in front line treatment as DNA/IDPH will not want to canabalize existing sales of Rit.>>

If in fact, the CR data or duration of response data for Zev is not competitive with Bex, then they really don't have a choice but to leave CHOP+Rit positioned first line. OTOH if Zev data eventually is competitive with Bex, IMO this would be a serious marketing gamble not to do combo studies with Zev and to position it head-to-head with Bex.

The subject of cannibalization is one that I'm not sure biotechs are realistic about. With the accelerating rate at which new products are replacing the existing standard of care, it may be necessary to cannibalize your own sales to prevent others from eating your market share. I can think of at least one biotech/pharma collaboration that is making a similar mistake. If Flu+Bex ends up taking a bigger bite out of CHOP+Rit, than it would've out of chemo+Zev have the shareholders been well-served? Perhaps IDPH suspects that Zev is not competitive, and is not deciding solely on the issue of cannibalism?

<<IDPH is not a one drug company. IDPH has a fairly deep pipeline and I think Rit will continue to be a major money maker for years to come>>

Completely agree. IDPH is an excellent company with good prospects.
