Well, to be honest, CH, it was a little thin in the plot, but overall a good whodunit read.
I don't think ANYONE can feign surprise over the linking of BIG bankers w/movement of gold. After all, that is what reserves are all about...moving of money, in this case, REAL MONEY, safra style acc'd to this novelist named Solnick.
Now, we understand it is a Keystone Kops "mayhem gone awry" storyline as the "butler truly did it" time worn plot is revealed on the 6:OO news last night.
I find it fascinating that the Monaco police chief popped up on my ABC evening news with a solution to such high-level murder as Solnick alleges. Now, why isn't THAT gee-whiz of a law officer on Mayor Jewel-on-hinny payroll??????
The part I found most fascinating is the Soros behind the balls to the walls gold squeeze of September. Is Solnick implying that Dusienberg is a Soros Puppet, bought and paid for in US DIAMONDS, furs and other precious items?

Thanks for the headszup, I think I'll poke my sources and see if there is any truth to the Soros angle...I hadn't thought of that one!
