Congratulations to Cygnus. I've been following the development of the GlucoWatch for three years and I never thought this day would come. I was not long because I honestly thought that the FDA would reject the watch on account of the way that perspiration interfered with the device in previous trials. While I'm sure that the product will be prescribed heavily in its infancy, I don't see it becoming a blockbuster because of the excessive amount of preparation needed to calibrate the device. But if it does, than BD should hang its head in shame for terminating the agreements between it and Cygnus two years back.
