Agreed -- some pretty good action lately. Nippon has clearly gained speed with their second boat, and the Italians do seem a bit more vulnerable. But as far as the leaders go, the real action will begin next month in the semi finals. A big question here IMO is how Cayard's new boat performs, as all the other big guns have already shown their cards, so to speak.

Who makes the cut? Prada, America One, Nippon, and America True for sure. That leaves TDC, YA and the Spaniards fighting over the last two spots. Young America seems to be returning to form, so I suspect they'll make it without too much trouble -- though this is by no means a lock given their checkered history <ng>. TDC on the other hand seems more vulnerable. They've not performed well so far this round, and now have a damaged boat to contend with. Spain could slip in if Dennis & Co. don't pull it together. We'll see tonight when TDC race YA.
