Omicron And Avanti Host Group To Launch Live Christian Webcast Venture
BELLINGHAM, WA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1999--Omicron Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: OGPS) has signed a letter of intent, with a formal agreement to be completed within the next two weeks, with the Avanti Host Group Inc. from Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This venture will involve the design and implementation of ''Christian Host'', a 24-hour, 7 days a week Christian content Web site. We will be offering time on the Christian Host site to a wide variety of Christian programming. This Web site will feature pastors, evangelists, gospel and contemporary music, special interest segments, bible studies, programming for children, chat lines and e-commerce for related Christian merchandise. Proceeds in excess of operating costs will be shared equally between Omicron and Avanti.
Avanti has studio facilities in Eureka Springs designed specifically for live Christian broadcasting and will provide the necessary funding to launch this venture. Avanti will provide the programming, production and scheduling while Omicron, through its subsidiary, Cyberweb Systems, will contribute the Webcasting, Web site design including chat rooms, e-commerce infrastructure, and mobile broadcast units.
Avanti spokesman and broadcaster, Frank Grey commented, ''Within a year, the Christian Host format will be the biggest, most viewed Web site in the world.'' The target date for the Christian Host Web site launch is February 1, 2000.
